The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Table

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a wide array of characters, and a thrilling plot featuring celestial beings, evil spirits, and dark forces growing in power within the urban setting.

Note: Key plot points for the latest installment of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

The latest chapter concluded with a huge suspense moment and presented the initial group of adventurers who will separate from the central cast to embark on their separate journey, apart from the other two tables.

The combat-focused team includes Teor (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

Given 13 cast members, it was obvious from the outset that maintaining everyone at a single group would be impossible.

That’s why, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before branching into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Explorers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

According to the DM, the Soldiers table is for players who prefer a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are rare.

Upon first impression, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might look mismatched, but the events of the latest installment show why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the group understands precisely where to head next after a brutal initial meeting with the enemy group.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose death kicked off the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his own means, entering the hidden lair, attacking the character, and stealing all the magical artifacts to sell off.

The traitor then cleared his obligations and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, north of the city, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each member has a personal reason to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and best friend, seeks retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure knows the region and warns that it is a dangerous environment.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having defied his relatives’ demands to eliminate the fighter and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their status as key figures in House Halovar could help the team reach locations they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to Wicander for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are sought by the authorities that rule the setting for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • Tyranny and The healer betrayed the powerful family and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the family.

This results in them few options but to travel to Timmony in pursuit of the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

From episode three’s post-show segment, we learn that the Soldiers table will not appear next week, leaving the other eight cast members to assemble the Seekers and Planners tables.

Audiences can look forward to discovering which characters will be assigned to which table in the story’s last Overture episode, available to watch on October 24.
